There were a few really important things that happened this weekend. But before I talk about that, Saturday night Amanda & I had dinner at Julie's new house, and she told us that people are actually getting diagnosed with "selfie syndrome", a disorder where they can't stop taking selfies and have to get treated for it. I mean, the world we live in, amiright?
It is important to note that technically, though these are all pictures of myself, only one of them is a legit selfie. Merriam Webster defines "selfie" as "an image of oneself taken by oneself using a digital camera especially for posting on social networks." Only one of these really qualifies! And yeah, I just went there...no selfie syndrome here, ok? Ok.
Notable things from this weekend (left to right):
- organized/played in a doubles tournament at work. These poses say more about it that I could. Oh, meet my friend and doubles partner, Art!
- battled a chocolate-dipped cone on a Southern Summer day and lost. Courtesy of Bobbie's Dairy Dip & the 100+ degree weather. Can you see my hand in this picture?
- Amanda, my dear, wonderful Roomie and biffy, asked me to be her BRIDESMAID! You can't read the sweet note on the bag (or the even sweeter note she wrote me <3) but I am getting SO excited. We went to dinner at Julie's and didn't get a picture but we LOVE you Julie + Lee!
- Sunday was awesome. Went to a great service, went on a run, layed at Centennial Park for hours by myself. I always tell people that I'm very good at entertaining myself, (I mean, I used to play by myself for hourzzz as a kid. I used to play Monopoly by myself which, how is that even possible?) seriously, I always have too much to do. I read a new book (Where'd You Go, Bernadette), journaled, gave myself a Barbie manicure, talked to Sundar on the phone, ate some snacks, sat in the shade and it was PERF. I am committed to doing it more often.
It was a ponytail, iPhone photos only kinda weekend. I kept it pretty chill because my sisters will be arriving in THREE DAYS and next weekend will be in.sane. Let the countdown begin!
